October 5 - 6, 2007 Join in the fun! The Loop's annual visual and performing arts festival will take place on October 5 to October 6, 2007 on the sidewalks and in the streets along Delmar. The event will kick off on Friday, October 5 from 6 to 9 p.m. with an Art Walk featuring exhibitions at more than 17 locations throughout the Loop. Additionally, there will be dance and musical performances taking place at two places, one located at the Regional Arts Commission, and the stage located at Market in The Loop. On Saturday, October 6 festivities start at 12 Noon. Enjoy dance performances and live music on the festival's two stages, while art exhibits and demonstrations, performance art, sidewalk sales and eclectic goings-on will be throughout The Loop. Larry Ash, the Festival's Performance Director, is working with the University City Loop Community Foundation members to produce this year's performances. A wonderful selection of local dance groups and choreographers will perform on this year’s Main Stage located on Leland, south of Delmar, between Vintage Vinyl and Commerce Bank. More live performances will take place on the Market in The Loop Stage. Parking is available on municipal lots, in the garage across from the Tivoli Theatre, and on Delmar and the side streets.
